Chisopani Nagarkot Hike

Chisopani Nagarkot Trek is easy, scenic and less crowded as only a small number of tourists visit around this route however this short trek is delightful and interesting. This trekking route passing through the deep forested with luxuriant growth of various floras vibrant rhododendron, terrace fields friendly and hospitable Nepalese’s villages and also you can experience the grandeur view Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal range, Manaslu, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar and many more on the northern horizon. This trip is the best suited to families with children or for students who enjoy outdoor camping, but who do not have enough time for longer treks into the high mountains. Hike through Shivapuri National Park to the medieval village of Bhaktapur, get an intimate experience of Nepali life while staying at basic yet comfortable teahouses with welcoming hosts. Visit small towns and ancient temples, watch magnificent sunrises, and marvel at the majestic Himalayas.

What to expect: 3-Day Trekking Tour Including Bhaktapur city Local Experience the heart of Nepal when trekking through the wilderness of Kathmandu Valley and staying overnight in small villages. Day 01.

Kathmandu drive to Sundarijal and Hike to Chisopani

Drive to Sundarijal by private vehicle which takes about 45 minutes.
Then, we climb up until reaching Mulkharka through the beautiful sub tropical forests and Tamang settlement from where very good view of Kathmandu valley. When you reache the village of Mulkharka, your guide will assist you to find a simple lunch in one of the wayside shops following a rest with food and tea, head through town, passing an abandoned school on your return to the forest. We keep hiking through forests until reaching Borlang Bhanjyang it is a small pass which is in the elevation of 2420m. Then we descent down to Chisopani (2215m) and there you have the great view of Helambu Valley with spectacular view of Himalayan Ranges  and our journey is about 5 hrs walk. Overnight in Lodge or Camping

Day 02.

Chisopani Hike to Nagarkot

After breakfast, we will trek to Nagarkot for 5-6-hour trekking through lush vegetation. You’ll walk both uphill and downhill along dirt tracks, passing through sporadic rural settlements along the way. Take in the magnificent panoramic views of the dramatic and steep Himalayas en route to Nagarkot, situated on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley. When you arrive in the town after a full day of hiking, relax your evening in one of the best resort and stroll through the village for more breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains and valley below.

Day 03.

Nagarkot Hike to Bhaktapur City

Our day three hiking trail from Nagarkot gradually descends through the terraced fields to the ‘Tamang Villages.’ The thatched houses, painted are built by with local stone hand-hewn by local craftsmen. These houses are normally 3 storied with a kitchen on the ground floor, a bedroom on the second and a store on the top. A courtyard in front has an adjoining shed for animals. The garden next to the house supplies all the household seasonal vegetables and fruit. Spring brings color to the village with young goat kids and other young animals as well as beautiful bright blossoms everywhere. The local wine making is pretty common throughout the year. The walking is easy with gradual downhill and fairly level paths. It will take about 5 hours to reach Bhaktapur via Changunarayan, the oldest Hindu temple
Arriving in Bhaktapur late in the afternoon, take a leisurely stroll around town on your own, experiencing its charm and character. Located along the ancient trade route between Tibet and India, Bhaktapur was founded in the 12th century and is replete with pagodas and terra-cotta monuments, as well as fascinating palaces and temples.

Day 04.

Short drive to Kathmandu

After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel or if you are leaving Nepal than transfer to the airport.
